Karon Market is a popular shopping location located in Karon temple grounds. Wat Suwan Khiri Khet (official name of Karon Temple), a splendid Buddhist temple which twice a week (Tuesdays and Fridays) becomes a lively market. You can find a great range of products to buy here, such as local foods, vegetables, fruits, beach wears, handmade souvenirs and many more.

The lake itself is one of the more popular places to celebrate Loy Krathong festival, on the full moon night of the twelfth lunar month in November, thousands of tourists and locals will visit the park for joining together and pay respect to the Water Goddess in Loy Kratong day.
